TANK (Bus Service)

tank bus

TANK - Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky is an integral part of the Northern Kentucky community, serving Boone, Campbell, and Kenton Counties as well as downtown Cincinnati for more than 30 years. Close to 4 million passengers each year rely on the more than 100 TANK buses throughout the region to get them where they need to be

Among the many programs TANK offers to businesses and the workforce are:

  1. Transitworks. A ride to work program offering federal incentives to a company to subsidize employee transportation costs or offer workers pre-tax benefits with payroll deductions.
  2. Guaranteed Ride Home. A safety net to provide a ride home, hospital, day care facility, school or the "park and ride" in case of an emergency.
  3. RAMP. The Regional Area Mobility Program is a door to door paratransit service allowing disabled citizens who are unable to use TANK's fixed route bus service to have same schedule advantages provided to the general public.
  4. DayTripper for Seniors. TANK’s DayTripper is a door-to-door transportation service available to qualified individuals traveling in TANK’s current fixed route bus service area within Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties. DayTripper is a shared ride service and trips are provided on a first-come-first-served basis for anyone who is 60 years or older; or receives SSI; or receives Social Security Disability.
  5. Park & Rides. TANK has an extensive network of 19 Park & Ride locations located throughout Northern Kentucky. With so many locations, there is sure to be a Park & Ride near you. Riding TANK allows you to spend your commute time doing what you really want to do, not fighting gridlock and traffic headaches. Parking at a Park & Ride lot is FREE! View TANK’s Park & Ride brochure to find the location nearest you (brochure printed 2004).
