Health Care
Thirty general hospitals (20 acute-care facilities) provide superior health care for area residents, including the world-renowned Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The area also is home to one of only three Shriners Pediatric Burn Centers, a premier facility that draws patients worldwide. Two excellent hospitals are located in Northern Kentucky alone.

The Greater Cincinnati CBSA has 7,668 beds among the 30+ community hospitals, eight of which are approved for physician residency programs by the American Medical Association. The Greater Cincinnati area is a national leader in health care. The area is served by more than 30 hospitals and more than 20 general acute-care facilities supplemented by institutions with specialized services.
Doctors
More than 5,700 doctors and 1,200 dentists serve the general population. Additionally, the Greater Cincinnati CMSA health service organizations employ more than 77,000 individuals. |
